Hello everybody, The attached image is of our first week's pass at "Christmas in July". There are a total pf 24 adult gift bags plus 7 for children which will be delivered tomorrow morning. As you are viewing the picture those on the Church pew are for those families with children, the green nylon bags are full of age appropriate books donated by the Defreitas family upwithbooks.org)
and the red baskets to go along with them are full of goodies. The bags on the floor are full or personal care items , some snacks, an inspirational card signed by the Friday morning volunteers, and rosary beads. Most of the these bags will be going to the elderly located at Wallace Towers and Fitchburg Place Apartments, along with their regular boxes of food. This will continue for the next 3 weeks until we have reached out to all of our homebound individuals and families. Many thanks to Jennifer, Adriana, Sue, and Robin for staying Friday morning to get this together, for our Saturday volunteers for making these deliveries, and those of you who have donated items.
